| Lingerie - The Corset The Corset has been worn by women for hundreds of years. It is a garment that covers your lower torso from bust line to the top of the hips. They started out as garments that were worn daily for a purpose, but now have become costume pieces and sexy lingerie. Originally thought of as heavy, restricting and uncomfortable to wear undergarments, these days not only are Corsets comfortable, but they are even worn as outerwear. Corset tips: Avoid wearing your panty hose under your corset because the hose is very tight and stretchy, they will be almost impossible to pull down when the corset is laced tight. A strapless bra will work better because the Corset tends to push you up, bra straps will be looser and fall down. If you do wear a bra with straps, adjust the straps to take up the slack. Tops made of thinner material will work the best under a Corset. Any style top can be worn, but avoid bulky clothing. If you wear pants or jeans, low-rise will be easier to remove. The pants will also be more flattering if they fit snugly in the hips. Corsets can be worn with both fuller skirts and straight skirts. Fuller skirts will help to accentuate the hourglass look, while straight skirts will render a more slimming appearance.
